Are you spending too much time listening to or watching long form content?
Create OutScripts to speed up the process
An OutScript is a combination of an OUTline and a tranSCRIPT which makes it easy for you to
a) preview an audio or video’s contents1 before watching it
b) review what you watched quickly
c) skim the video contents to find specific topics of interest
d) search the text to recall past videos you watched
e) use GPT to get answers to specific questions across an entire video collection
Here is an example OutScript. As you can see it is very easy to skim the video’s contents at a glance2, and you can then jump to specific topics of interest.
First you need to upload the audio or video file to TurboScribe.
TurboScribe supports 3 free transcriptions a day.
TurboScribe already supports YouTube and Twitter.
They do not support Rumble yet.
You can use FlyDownloader to download Rumble videos.
Once you have uploaded the file to TurboScribe, you will need to wait for a few minutes for the transcription to be completed.
If you go for a paid account, the speed of transcription will usually be a bit faster.
Once you upload the audio or video file, follow the steps described below:
Show Notes are sometimes sufficient for this, but you will find that the specific system I recommend generates documents which have much better granularity. And then there are also many occasions when the video or audio publisher does not provide Show Notes.
Also notice that sometimes AI generated transcripts do get some words wrong. In the example I provided, VAERS is often mis-recognized as “theirs”. Unfortunately this is a tradeoff you cannot really avoid, so if you absolutely need 100% accuracy in your transcripts, human transcription is probably the best choice.
